Is your character a Mary Sue?

So, I was super bored, so for fun I decided to take a Mary Sue Litmus Test for my two characters. A Mary Sue is usually scorned for being "perfect", being extremely tragic, getting everything they want by controlling other characters actions, etc. Etc. They are usually scorned.

So, I was wondering out of curiosity, what's your score? Take this test for all your characters. Post below if you wish. If you get a ridiculous number, you may want to think about your character- and DON'T LIE! It'd just expose you sooner.

The idea of this sort of character test originally sprang from the world of fanfiction. A "Mary Sue" was a non-main character that was usually perfect in every way and often stole the plot.

Now, in the world of role play, a "Mary Sue" has been further defined as a character, usually following the "Perfect in every way" archtype, that really makes it difficult for the RP to be fun for others. They are the extremes of the RP world. (Marty Stu is the male equivelent.)

Now, the details of what makes a Mary Sue/Marty Stu change for each continuity. For example, the first ever test I had seen was written for a Tamora Pierce-based RP, and thus had a lot of magic influences. This continuity does not have magic at all, so that wouldn't be a factor.

Directions: Take this and add up all the points that apply. There will be points after each line, and you add/subract (whatever it says) those points if that line applies to your character. Don't even bother trying to explain away WHY it applies to yourself, the important thing is if it does or not, not why. Might as well not lie to yourself, right? (Feel free to post on this thread.)

yea man, I'd say aiming for 15-75 is pretty good, the same traits that make a Mary Sue are also what defines your character and helps set them apart, moderation is key of course.
